Human Resources/Benefits Coordinator

Want to be part of a dynamic and growing team?  Viking Coca-Cola Bottling has an immediate need for a positive individual looking for an opportunity to work in a fast paced and diversified environment in a Human Resources Specialist role.  This position is based in our St. Cloud, MN location. 

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Prepares packets of company benefit forms for new hires and newly qualified employees.
  • Tracks information on various reports such as personality or pre-employment profiles.
  • Reviews benefit invoices for accuracy and coordinates with insurance companies on any discrepancies.
  • Processes benefit enrollments including new hires, qualifying life events, open enrollments, etc.
  • Assists during annual Open Enrollment meetings at branch locations.
  • Completes First Report of Injury reports.
  • Investigates workers' compensation issues and works with workers' compensation administrator for case management.
  • Keeps human resources material current by updating forms on-line and in packets.
  • Provides administrative support including typing, filing, copying, faxing, answering telephones, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Completes employment verifications via phone, fax and/or email.
  • Responds to inquiries from individuals seeking employment.
  • Facilitates the drug testing process and maintains drug testing paperwork and files.
  • Coordination of employee events such as company holiday parties, United Way fundraising,etc.
  • Processes paperwork for all leaves of absences, including FMLA, personal, military, etc.
  • Tracks information on various reports such as employee anniversary and birthday tracking.
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding benefits, including contacting plan administrators for clarification or problem resolution.
  • Acts as first point of contact for all employee matters.

 

Qualifications of the position include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources management or related field
  • 2-4 years of related work experience

 

Ideal Candidates will possess:

  • Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel,Outlook, Great Plains, etc.
  • Ability to accomplish work and prioritize workload with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
